Global Taxi service for international visitors

The “Global Taxi” service has offered tourist-friendly information since in 2012 and all its drivers are appointed by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province to provide qualified foreign language services in English, Chinese, and Japanese.

There are 105 Global Taxis around the island, including 19 providing English, 26 Chinese, and 60 Japanese services. The fare is the same as that of standard taxis and is measured by the meter. Tourists can also charter a Global Taxi for 8 hours for 150,000 won (20,000 won per extra hour).

Call 1899-4314 and press #1 for English, #2 for Japanese, and #3 for Chinese.

If you are not able to use a Global Taxi, you can use an instant telephone translation service from Korea Tourism Organization. Call 1330 between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday to Friday, or between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekends or national holidays.
